Weekly Wrap Up

Some pretty big names dropped some mixtapes this week.

First off we have T.I.’s Fuck a Mixtape. I believe this is T.I.’s first mixtape since being released from prison.

Then its Raekwon’s Cocainism Vol. 2. I can’t seem to find the legendary Wu-Tang member’s Vol. 1 in the Cocainism Volume but please feel free to post it below.

The Bash Bros also dropped a second volume, this time in their Workaholics series. I found these Living Legend’s release a few weeks ago. Stayed tuned for a another post featuring another Living Legend Murs.

The shoe company Saucony put out a digital 45 featuring Japandroids & Best Coast, find the link here.

90’s rockers The Posies dropped by KEXP to play a set of both old and new songs. Find the podcast along with many other gems from the Live Performance Series. The band also have a nice selection of free MP3s.

The Arcade Fire created a stir this week by announcing their new album The Suburbs would be released in August. Win and Will sat down with NPR’s All Songs Considered to talk about the new album and play their two new singles. At the moment the website doesn’t seem to be updated but itunes users will be able to find the new show. The new singles also made their way online and can be found at onethirtybpm.

Lastly we have a new Major Lazer mixtape Lazerproof. The mixtape temporarily crashed the Mad Decent site with as many as 200,000 people trying to get ahold of the new mixtape. The Mad Decent site also has a large selection of other mixtapes from other artists. Diplo has to be one of the busiest men in pop music today, this time pairing up with Switch for the new mixtape. Diplo seems to be working with just about everyone right now and fans can find some other high profile mixtapes with the M.I.A. collaboration Piracy Funds Terrorism and the Santogold mix Top Ranking.

Finally, for all those making the journey out to the Gorge for the Sasquatch festival, I thought I would leave you with this:
